Yokohama Bay Bridge
The Yokohama Bay Bridge (横浜ベイブリッジ ) is a cable stayed bridge in Yokohama, Japan. Opened September 27, 1989, it crosses Tokyo Bay with a span of 460 meters (1,510 feet). The toll is ¥600. The bridge is part of the Bayshore Route of the Shuto Expressway.
When i saw this bridge i was amazed by its structure and construction. The bridge is also known as “The gateway to port of Yokohama” and it comprises of 6 lane Metropolitan Expressway. As a major landmark of Yokohama, the bridge spans a considerable part of Yokohama Bay. The photo was taken when I was in a bus during my visit to Japan. This was one of the very first photos taken using my Nikon D70s as I was still learning the way of photography. Guess it was not too bad for a beginner.
